Google announced its plan for the next 20 years to celebrate its 20th anniversary, including boosting the search engine's capabilities, offering users the information they need through the Google Discover service.
Google Discover, previously called Google Feed, is part of the company's effort to display information to users without asking about it. Google is now launching Google Discover on the Google.com homepage on mobile devices.
Information provided by Google Discover, a development of Google Now, provides sports, technical and entertainment news based on user search results or preferences. Google says the service is used by 800 million people a month.
In September, Google announced its new name for service, visual design and new features. However, the biggest change is that they are available via the google.com page on mobile devices.
The Google homepage is very simple with only a search bar against a white background, and the bottom of the bar shows Google Discover cards similar to Google's application cards on Android and iOS. In each card we see a picture of the news, address, short summary, in addition to the name of the site and the date of publication. In the corner there are three points where you can click to hide the story.
This feature comes days after Google Lens is integrated into the Google Images image search service on mobile devices, another step in strengthening search engine capabilities for the next 20 years.
