Samsung launched the October 2018 security patch for its smartphones, beginning with its latest flagship mobile phone, Galaxy Note9, and now seems to be completing its launch for its other phones.
And phones that began to get the security patch for the month of the current two phones high specifications: Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +, and phones medium specifications, namely: Galaxy A6 +, Galaxy J4, Galaxy J5 Prime, and Galaxy J7 Duo.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + have been updated in Canada, and the update moves the build number to the G950WVLU5BRI6 for the Galaxy S8 and the G955WVLU5BRI6 for the Galaxy S8 +.
With regard to standard phones, it has been updated in a number of markets, such as the United Arab Emirates and Iraq for the Galaxy A6 + with the release of A605FJXU3ARI2, and in South Africa and Saudi Arabia for the Galaxy J4 with the release of the program J400FXXU2ARJ3.
The Galaxy J5 Prime got the security patch in Trinidad and Tobago with the G570MUBU3CRI3, and the Galaxy J7 Duo was updated in Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago with the J720MUBU3ARI2.
Samsung has made it clear that the security patch for October 2018 includes fixing dozens of holes found in the Android system, as well as correcting the gaps found in the company's software.
The security patch for the month fixes critical gaps in the Android operating system, along with dozens of high and medium vulnerabilities. It also fixes 11 loopholes found in Samsung software.

The new update can be manually downloaded by opening the settings and clicking on the "Software update" option and clicking "Download updates manually".
