Yesterday, Huawei announced a number of products, including four smartphones: Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design and Mate 20X, as well as its Watch GT watch and a new electronic bracelet.
During the event, Huawei said that the smart phones are operating their user interface EMUI 9.0 based on the version 9 Bay of the Android operating system.
With regard to its older smartphones, the company announced on Weibo the launch of the EMUI 9.0 pilot program, and announced the devices that will be the first to receive the update.
Huawei's list includes six Huawei phones and three Honor phones, all of which include the Kirin 970 processor, the previous version of the Kirin 980 processor, which features phones announced yesterday and instantly updated.
As for the phones that will get the beta version of Android 9 Bay, they are:
- Huawei Mate 10
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design
- Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design
- Huawei P20
- Huawei P20 Pro
- Honor 10

Unfortunately, not everyone who owns these phones will get the update, but the program will be limited to 5,000 subscribers per phone. So if you are one of the owners of these phones and want to join the program you should upgrade the Beta Tester application to its latest version 8.0.2.81.
